Mishibijiw

The beast is shadowy and shy. A clear look at his shape in the full daylight is a very rare thing indeed. Nor is his look static. He might, in fact, look one way this morning and forget his own shape the next. Or perhaps some spirit whispered in his ear and tickled him with a new design. But some elements are almost always there.

His brown, feline snout covered in scales to the cheeks. Curled horns like a ram coming to a sturdy plate on his crown. From breast to hip he's often stretched and pulled out like a creature as much snake as cat, the length of which he can never quite commit to. Then his tails. Usually two, though he is not very good at counting, plated a shining copper, hairless and scaled like a pair of curious snakes. Pitch-black spines, curled like claws, follow the center line of his back from between his shoulders to the end of his haunches.

Other shapes are likely. From warped and nightmarish to slender and handsome. Mortals are strange: to play a good trick, you sometimes need to be hairless. His shapes are as mercurial as his personality.
